7 Small but Important things no-one will tell you about Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh’s Wedding! #Deepveer

Deepveer literally broke the internet when they shared their official wedding pictures and here’s saying they were TOTALLY WORTH THE WAIT! The duo managed to keep their wedding ceremony and the pre-wedding functions a private affair quite successfully. The entire world waited to see their pictures but all they got was a few blurry shots. But all was well in the world when the couple released the pictures themselves.

After having obsessed over Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh’s wedding look for hours and shedding the happy tears here’s bringing to you 7 things which a lot of you might have not known about the #Deepveer wedding. Scroll down to know more about it :

Before I begin with the minute details, a big kudos to Deepika for being a traditional bride even in Italy!

It was questionable what will she wear, as the wedding was held at Italy. But Deepika chose to be a bride who was true to her roots and chose to wear traditional outfits for both of her weddings, stealing a million hearts all over.

Now, talking about the small but important details about their wedding –

1. Deepika’s personalised dupatta is goals:

Deepika looked totally regal in her magnificent red and golden outfit which she choose for the Sindhi wedding ceremony. But what caught my attention was the border of the dupatta which said, “Sada Saubhagyavati Bhava,”! Meaning – ‘May you be married forever and steer away from the curse of widowhood’!

2. I need sunglasses to properly see that Engagement ring:

It sees Mr Singh left no stone unturned when he had to get the perfect rock for his Lady Love. That magnificent emerald cut with two brilliant three-four carat diamonds on the side is proof!

3. Her mehendi motifs matched Ranveer’s kurta:

I am sure you would have definitely missed this one. Deepika’s intricate bridal mehendi oozes awesomeness beyond doubt, but the highlight of it, was that the peacock motifs on her bridal mehendi complimented the peacock motifs on Ranveer’s sherwani which he wore for her Sindhi look!

4. Ranveer’s Konkani outfit decoded:

Ranveer looked dapper in a white and gold outfit – a quintessential Konkani colour combination! It definitely was a sight for sore eyes to see Ranveer in that classic combination owing to his crazy and eccentric wardrobe! 😛

This is how Natasha – Ranveer’s stylist decoded his Konkani wedding look – ”Like a good Konkani groom, he wore an ivory and gold veshti, kurta and angvastram”.

5. Ranveer’s Sindhi Look:

From soothing white and gold to Regal Red, the transition was a bit on the drastic edge, but oh-so-magical. Ranveer wore a Royal-esque red Kanjeevaram silk with peacock motifs in gold and embellished buttons down the front.

Also, totally in love with his safa – a completely different pattern which contrasted his peacock motifs with modern bold stripes! Now that’s much Mr. Singh’s style!

And no guesses for who won the ‘My dupatta is heavier than yours!” Ranveer’s sherwani dupatta was much heavier and more intricately embroidered than that of the bride herself! Just look at that elaborate zari embroidery!

6. They created a temporary Gurudwara at the Villa:

According to the sources, “Every little detail had been planned to perfection. An Indian priest from Amritsar was present to bind DeepVeer in holy matrimony. The couple even created a temporary Gurudwara in the villa where they got married. The decor boasted of blooming red roses which tied into the red theme of the outfits and varmalas picked by the two.”

7. Deepika’s welcome to the new family:

Ranveer’s stylist, Nitasha Gaurav, posted an Instagram story telling what Ranveer’s dad – Jagjit Singh Bhavnani, had to say to his new bahu.

Mr Bhavnani Senior aka Ranveer’s dad said, “Yeh Deewani toh Bhavnani ho gayi, and I don’t think there could have been a sweeter welcome for Deepika into the family. *melting my heart literally*

The message is a beautiful wordplay on Deepika’s song, “Kehte hain, yeh deewani, Mastani ho gayi…” But Ranveer’s dad definitely gave a new, a better meaning to the song.

I wish the newlyweds a happy married life. Thanks, DeepVeer for showing that it’s all about love in the end!
