Kawar & Japneet Jodhpur : This wedding witnessed 7 functions and it was 7 times the FUN!

Kawar & Japneet Jodhpur : This wedding witnessed 7 functions and it was 7 times the FUN!

The Big Fat Indian Wedding just got FATTER! Read on to know more about how this couple had the BEST of everything- outfits, decor, and super-fun across seven functions.

The Shaadi Festivities

Mehman-Nawaazi

The wedding festivities kicked off with the obvious- which was greeting and welcoming the guests to the wedding venue. But that wasn’t all! The bride and groom were twinning in customised red t-shirts, while their huge bunch of buddies sported customised yellow tees and posed against the couple’s hashtag, at the entrance of the wedding venue.

Poolside Mehendi

Post the milna-milaana and jhappis (hug), was the mehendi ceremony. Needless to say, mehendi ceremonies these days are nothing short of a colour riot!

The decor was extravagant- multicolour drapes, shimmery tassels suspended from the ceiling, embroidered parasols, and quirky and colourful signages for the activities taking place during the mehendi ceremony.

Japneet wore a turquoise and gold heavily embellished sharara suit, while Kawar paired his white kurta with a printed bandhgala jacket replete with colourful printed motifs. Post the ceremony, the family members and friends had a gala time in the pool.

Engagement ceremony

Japneet looked like a million bucks in a bright pink lehenga, paired with a gold jewellery set and gorgeous pink flowers in her bun. Not to miss her Rajasthani aadh necklace, which was drool-worthy! Kawar looked dapper in a crisp blue shirt and blazer, with a pink tie that matched Japneet’s outfit.

Post the exchange of rings, the couple had a rocking time grooving on the dance floor with family and friends.

Dhamakedaar Sangeet

No brownie points for guessing that these Punjabis had a super-grand sangeet!

The couple was welcomed with fireworks. Kawar wore a striped blue and white blazer, paired with a mustard turban. Japneet sported a gorgeous maroon gown, and looked straight out of a fairytale! The night was filled with dancing, fun, and the couple posed for some romantic clicks too.

Chudha ceremony and Wedding

Prior to the wedding, Japneet had an intimate chudha ceremony with close friends and family. She was dressed in a red salwaar suit.

Now, the most awaited day- the shaadi. Japneet looked drop-dead gorgeous in an unconventional cerulean blue anarkali replete with fuschia pink floral designs. A matching belt tied around the waist, accentuated her silhouette, while the pink dupatta added contrast. She paired her outfit with a turquoise and gold choker and a rani haar studded with rubies. Kawar wore a light blue bandhgala sherwani, with matching juttis and a light pink turban.

The couple had an Anand Karaj, followed by the bride’s vidaai ceremony in a traditional-style palki.

Dinner

Post the wedding ceremony, the families hosted a dinner party, rather than a quintessential reception. The function witnessed Rajasthani folk dances, performed by professionals. While Japneet was dressed in an offbeat pink lehenga, Kawar chose to keep it simple with a blue suit.
