Vivek Krishnan Photography, Bangalore - Review & Rating

After weeks of reviewing potentials and much deliberation we settled on Vivek to preserve memories from our wedding. Upon meeting him we clearly indicated that his would be only team engaged to cover the event. While he seemed like a very affable honest individual little did we know, what calamity would await us.

Moments and memories from once in a lifetime events are precious and invaluable. One entrusts this responsibility to a "professional" photographer hoping to relive and reminisce them over and over again. In our case this wasn't to be as Vivek and his team, managed to lose all the candid photographs from our event owing to a technical snag.

Now, normally one would be upfront and honest about a disaster such as this. However, we were only made aware of this after six weeks of the event, when they tried to pass off poorly shot and treated pictures as "candid photographs". The quality of what was shared was grossly amateurish. As an artist, one should be proud of their craft and canvas. That wasn't reflected in any of the pictures that were shared. Upon being confronted they admitted these was images from the traditional photographer and requested more time to retrieve the images. They also promised to rework what they had managed salvage. Weeks passed nothing, all hope lost we asked for a refund. Another week was sought, and the refund was made, without note, notice or apology. We also didn't receive any of the reworked images.

I would not recommend Vivek for his lack of professionalism, sincerity, etiquette and simple courtesy that one ought to extend, esp. when one is at grave fault. While we are extremely dejected at losing all the images from our wedding, we are far more outraged with the lack of communication, transparency and manner in which this issue was handled.
