This one drink can help you drop those extra kilos! #lehengaworthywaist #gogreen
Ever heard of green coffee, the new way to drop some extra pounds?
Yes, that’s right. Ditch your regular cappuccino for green coffee.
What is Green Coffee?
Green Coffee is basically unroasted coffee beans.
Coffee beans are naturally green before they are roasted and sold to customers. The roasting causes them to turn dark brown. Green coffee is all natural and non-roasted.
How does it work?
Coffee contains two important compounds: Caffeine and Chlorogenic Acid.
Chlorogenic acid is believed to aid weight loss by slowing the release of glucose into the body.
The reason this doesn’t happen with roasted/regular coffee beans is because most of the chlorogenic acid is lost after roasting.
Uses of Chlorogenic Acid:
> Boosts metabolism
> Lowers sugar levels, which in turn aids type 2 diabetes.
> Slows down appearance of ageing. As it is not roasted, it maintains high levels of compounds that delay signs of ageing.
Green Coffee Extract:
It can be consumed in the form of capsules as well. The extract is made mainly with chlorogenic acid. It also does contain some caffeine.
Though, they are price a little steeply.
Green coffee must not be consumed by pregnant/breast-feeding women or children.
It also has its fair share of side effects such as:
> Anxiety / rapid heartbeat due to caffeine.
> Chlorogenic acid may also cause diarrhoea / nausea as it may have a laxative effect.
We suggest you consult someone before adding these to your daily routine.
