Indian Bridal Look of the Week – Real Bride Karishma

We deconstruct, decode and untangle the intricacies of the bridal wear picks our Real Bride Karishma opted for. Picking up from her Roka/Engagement held at Taj Palace Hotel, Delhi to her stunning, stunning wedding held there too. Whether it was her extravagant blue gota patti lehenga or deep red ballgown, this bride had inspiration written all over every bridal outfit she wore. And specially took the bridal wear game, levels up with her all shimmer Sabyasachi. Mix-Matched Roka Outfit

This stunning bride killed it with her very first outfit – she dressed it up oh-so-well at their Roka held at the Taj Palace Hotel, Delhi. She paired a fully embellish navy blue and gold choli with a pink lehenga which was fully adorned with pretty buttis and  a multi-patterned border featuring gold lace, floral patches and paisley motifs – absolutely beautiful! She opted to keep her makeup focused on her eyes. Well defined kohl eyes, pastel pink lips and just the right amount of bronzer had her glowing like never before. (of course, it was the love too!)

Vibrant hues for Mehndi

Giving us all the flashbacks from Deepika Padukone in Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani, Karishma sizzled in a combination of bright yellow, just like Deepika in Kalki’s mehndi scene. The fuchsia pink bow-styled blouse was definitely the highlight of her bright, vibrant mehndi lehenga. Her floral jewellery had a touch of zing to it with that bold crystal studded maangtikka added to the fresh white flowers.

Regal Red For The Engagement

The engagement saw Karishma in an elegant red ball gown with a larger than life rose motif. This dress completely took our breath away! With her hair naturally left loose, our stunning bride looked like a princess in her classy red ball gown. She paired this strapless beauty with an exquisite diamond and ruby drop necklace to match her gown.

Anita Dongre Sangeet Lehenga

Indigo blue flare with gorgeous gota work? Yes please! Karishma twirled and showed off all her thumkas in a beautifully flared Anita Dongre gota lehenga for her outdoor sangeet ceremony. She paired this with a classic chaandballi maathapatti that dangled on to her forehead beautifully. For the sangeet, she kept her jewellery light and lehenga heavy creating a perfect balance between the two. For future brides to be, opt for lighter jewellery options and a heavy worked lehenga – it’ll be easier to dance to those pumpy Bollywood numbers and let all of your lehenga do the talking!

Sabyasachi Gold for The big day!

All that glitters was on Karishma that day. Dressed in a gorgeous Sabyasachi lehenga designed to perfection in hues of gold and bronze, Karishma was a sight to behold! Not a lot of brides opt to go for full sleeves with a flared lehenga, but this stunning bride pulled it off effortlessly. With long sheer sleeves that hugged her arms perfectly, the scatter of gold sequins was a brilliant shift from bold bordered bridal cholis. Her all-gold scalloped choker with the bead drop maangtikka and earrings were the cherry on the cake! And how can we forget that stunning cocktail ring.
