Holi has a special place in everyone’s hearts. Every year we might make excuses and try to stay away but the cheer in the air just ropes you in! Boy and girls, brides and grooms, I understand that March-April is a tough time. You are either getting married just after Holi or weeks after it. I, the millennial grandmother, am here to give you some tips on how to take care of your skin and hair post holi!I took some help from my other millennial friends, Before the Wow and The Man Company. Here is a list of things that we have compiled for you guys!
Skin care Tips for Brides & Bridesmaids
Ladies, ladies, ladies! Relax! The colour will go away, your skin will heal and you will be happy again! But, if you don’t want any damage and wish to nip it in the bud, here are some tips my friend Before the Wow told me about-
#1 Cleanse– Use your regular skin cleanser to ensure you are rid of all the harmful colors that can cause acne, rashes or any allergies. Use a mild cleanser with rose water, cucumber extracts so that there is no burning sensation.
#2 Masks- Use a homemade mask like ubtan made from sandalwood, haldi, honey and yogurt. It will help your skin cool down and help balance your skin’s PH level.
#3 Moisturize– Like every skincare routine, end this one with moisturizer.
Pro tip: Don’t scrub your face or body just before Holi. This will open up your pores, allowing the colours to seep in and cause further damage.
Bonus tip: Someone coloured your hair silver? Or broke an egg on your head? Chill girl! Just take a wheat beer and wash your hair with it. Beer acts like a cleanser and will condition your hair too!
