Vaibhaw & Deepika Jaipur : A bubbly bride, colourful decor and fun-filled pictures makes this one a complete package wedding!

Although Deepika and Vaibhaw met through the arranged marriage route, their story is unique in its own way. After meeting 50 other girls Vaibhaw met Deepika and saw no reason to say no to this cute and chirpy lady he just met. They talked day and night and finally gave in to their feelings and said ‘yes’ to each other! Science has proved that opposites attract and same is the case with this couple- the quirky, talkative girl fell for the quiet and serious guy! After getting engaged in October they started planning for the wedding that took place in March. Deepika being a wedding planner by profession made sure that this wedding is the best she has planned so far and it was! The festivals of India came together as they planned each function in a way every festival got representation!

Mehendi

Deepika’s mehndi function was held in Surat, her hometown while Vaibhaw’s mehendi ceremony was in Jaipur. The theme was Makar Sankranti where the guests were seen flying kites and doing the traditional Gujarati garba dance. The decor matched with the theme with spring colours all around.

Sangeet

The same night was Sangeet based on Diwali. The decor had bulbs, lights and diyas to celebrate the festival of lights. Deepika arranged a surprise dance for Vaibhaw which started on her seat, right next to him! Vaibhaw was taken aback and overwhelmed by this surprise arranged by his love!

Mayara

A special event known as Mayara was held the next day where the bride’s mother is showered with gifts from her family. The bride wore a stunning blue Banarasi lehenga which belonged to her mother but was recreated by a Jaipur based designer Urmila Sethia. Something borrowed and something blue, fitting well for the blue banarasi lehenga!

Haldi

Followed by the Mayara was the Haldi ceremony. The Haldi ceremony was along the lines of everyone’s favourite festival, Holi. Vaibhaw was thrown into the pool by his friends while Deepika was smeared with haldi from head to toe! The Holi spirit was visible in everyone’s demeanor!

Wedding

Finally the day arrived when Vaibhaw was allowed to take away his Dhulaniya! The wedding revolved around Janmashtami festival, celebrating Krishna’s birth. The decor included bells and flutes to go with the theme. 11 Pandits were chanting Krishna shlokas making it more authentic. Deepika looked beautiful in a blush lehenga and Vaibhaw looked no less in a champagne sherwani. A Marwari ceremony followed and they lived happily ever after!

Deepika and Vaibhaw made sure that their wedding was enjoyed by everyone alike. They themselves were dancing throughout the wedding saga. In fact the wedding favours included speakers for it resonated with them!
