Come on, do you really think a red and gold sherwani is the best that you can do? Red-golden is so 1980’s! The only thing good about that era was the songs, not the fashion! Wear dark hues of navy or experiment with pastels!
2. Ditch the long feather

The groom’s safa usually has a jewel on it along with a feather. It is always better to make sure that the feather is short and not really long. It’ll sabotage your look!

What’s with the jhag mag jhag mag sherwanis? Agreed that you are the groom but that doesn’t mean that you have to give a tough competition to the lights in the hall!

Start taking care of your hair and beard few months prior to the wedding. Decide the kind of hairdo you want at least a month before instead of an hour before the wedding! Remember, hair gel is your best friend! And most importantly, cut your hair 2 weeks before the wedding and not 2 days!!
5. Makeup to Conceal

Psst.. wanna hide those dark circles caused by excessive partying the night before? Apply foundation and concealer! Please don’t be under the pretext that only women can and are allowed to apply makeup. Dab on some foundation and concealer (please don’t do it yourself. You don’t want to be a walking white disaster!) and enter your wedding with your head held high!
6. Patterns

7. Footwear

Ooh, tricky lot! Footwear can be very confusing and tiring. Mojris are usually very comfortable but not for a long duration. So be careful while choosing your footwear, cause you really want to be comfortable throughout the day. You can opt for formal shoes for other functions such as sangeet, cocktail and engagement. Go easy on the mehendi and haldi by opting for sneakers!
8. Colour Palette

A good idea it to not clash your clothes with your bride’s and the decor of the wedding. Sit down with your bride and decide on colours
