5 Detox Drinks for Ultimate Bridal Fitness and Health

5 Detox Drinks for Ultimate Bridal Fitness and Health

Initially, when we were bombarded with the words- quinoa, flax seeds, oats, vegetable smoothies, it all seemed like Greek and Latin to us. Terms like cleansing, detox, Keto diets, etc, weren’t part of our vocabulary. However, the trends have changed, and people have soon come to realise that paying close to attention to health isn’t a fad, but rather a necessity.

Detoxing has taken the basic fitness routine by storm and is a must-have especially for those who live in urban areas- a relatively more toxic environment. Detoxing in simple terms is allowing the vital organs of our body to cleanse themselves. The popularity of Detox drinks has gained momentum owing to the properties they possess which help in curtailing problems like gas, bloating, constipation, nausea, skin issues, headaches, weight gain, slow metabolism, and most importantly, removing toxins from the body.

As a to-be-bride, along with getting rid of these problems, you would also want something which helps enhance your hair and skin. The solution to this is detox drinks! And what’s best? You can make them with basic ingredients which can be found in your home kitchen.

Here are some highly effective, easy-to-make, and tasty detox drinks you must start consuming at least 3 months before you tie the knot:

Benefits: Lemons are ultimate detoxifiers that help in flushing out toxins from your body. Lemon is excellent for keeping your body hydrated and helps in weight loss. Cucumbers are a storehouse of essential nutrients- Vitamin A, B1, B6, C, and D. These are good for reducing headaches, getting rid of hangovers, and helping in hair growth in the long run. Mint contains menthol which acts as a cooling and refreshing agent in the drink.

Ingredients: Water, lemon, cucumber, and mint.

How to make: Take one big pitcher of water. Take one lemon and cut it into two halves- squeeze one half into the pitcher and cut the other half into thin slices and them to the pitcher. Now, take a medium-sized cucumber and cut into thin slices and add it to the pitcher. Add the mint leaves and allow the water to cool for 1-3 hours in the fridge.
