5 Homemade Hydrating Face Masks for Bridal Glow

Winter weddings in India are a whole lot of fun, but it is during this season that your skin may experience a whole lot of havoc. Your skin may become dry, flaky and lack that bridal glow. It is safe to say that every bride strives for soft, supple skin and that natural glow on her D-day!

 

If you want to achieve this, all you have to do is enter your kitchen and use some very basic ingredients to make a hydrating mask. If applied regularly, these can prove to be quite effective in keeping your skin supple, soft, nourished and moisturised at all times. All you need to do is spare a few minutes in the day and put together a homemade mask.

 

Here are some hydrating face masks you should definitely try out:

 

1.Banana and Honey face hydrating mask

 

 

Beating oily skin is no mean feat! For supple and shine-free skin, it is best to try out this super-hydrating banana and honey mask.

Ingredients:

Banana, organic honey, fresh orange juice.

How to make:

-Mash 1 ripe banana in a bowl.

-Add 2 tbsps of honey and mix thoroughly.

– Now add 1 tsp of freshly-squeezed orange juice.

How to apply:

-Wash your face with lukewarm water.

-Apply it on your face and leave it on for 20 minutes.

-Now, wash the mask off with lukewarm water and pat your skin dry with a towel.

 

2. Honey, Oatmeal and Milk hydrating mask

 

 

Are you a bride-to-be who is struggling with acne issues?

Well, there is no need to use harsh chemicals, when you can use ingredients found in your household to get rid of acne. Honey helps keep the skin supple and moisturised, whereas, oatmeal helps fight acne.

Ingredients:

Dried oats, honey, milk.

How to make:

-Put 3 tbsps of oatmeal in a blender.

-Add 1 tbsp milk.

-Mix into a paste.

-Drizzle 1 tbsp of organic honey.

How to apply:

After you have blended the ingredients, remove the paste and apply it on your face. Lave it on for 20 minutes. Then rinse and dry your face.

 

3. Grape hydrating mask

 

 

The weak acid in grapes acts an exfoliator and helps get rid of dead cells. 

Ingredients:

12 grapes and flour.

How to make:

-Mash 12 grapes in a mixing bowl.

-Add 1 tsp of flour.

-Mix thoroughly.

How to apply:

After you have created a paste, spread it nicely across your face. Now, let it rest for 15 minutes. Rinse your face well and dry. 

*If you feel any discomfort, rinse off the pack immediately.

 

4. Cucumber and Aloe vera hydrating mask

 

 

Aloe vera helps reverse ageing, healing and keeping your skin hydrated. It can also be used to get rid of dry skin. The cucumber is a cooling ingredient and helps the cleansing of the skin.

Ingredients:

Aloe vera and cucumber.

Hoe to make:

-Cut ½ a cucumber into thin slices.

-Put the slices into a blender and mix until its watery.

-Add 2 tbsps of aloe vera gel and blend well.

How to apply:

You can apply this paste on your face and leave it on for half an hour. We suggest you could watch TV or read a book and relax during this time. After 30 minutes wash your face with cool water and dry it with a soft towel.

 

5. Strawberry and Yogurt hydrating mask

 

 

Strawberries are high in Vitamin C and antioxidants. Yogurt contains lactic acids which help in exfoliation and getting rid of dead skin cells. When you have these two ingredients combined the result is a super-effective.

Ingredients: 

Strawberries, yoghurt and honey

How to make:

-Mash 3 ripe strawberries using a blender.

-Add 2 tsps of Greek yogurt.

-Mix 1 tsp of honey.

-Stir until you get a paste-like consistency.

How to apply:

Apply this paste on your face and leave it on for approximately 15 minutes. If you have dry skin, it is best to keep it for 10 minutes.
