Who doesn’t love a good wedding music playlist? A smartly-curated playlist can energise a lethargic crowd with its peppy beats or melt hearts with the thoughtful lyrics and soothing music. But more than anything, a good wedding playlist should lure the crowd – age no bar – to the dance floor and break out those moves.
The Sangeet ceremony is where all those dance moves are brought out of the closet. This pre-wedding ceremony is all about dance performances that can basically bring the house down and we have just the right songs for you. If you are looking for some of the latest Bollywood songs that are made for the dance floor, check out 7 of my current favourites (btw, all of them are about to be your earworms):
Sauda Khara Khara – Good Newwz
This is one of the rare occasions where a remix of a classic song that I actually love and cannot stop grooving to! The original sung by Sukhbir was undeniably a power-packed Bhangra number and this new-age version featuring Sukhbir AND Diljit Dosanjh is exactly what you would call ‘double dhamaka’!
Makhna – Drive
It is such a breezy song that can be played at any wedding ceremony. The upbeat tune can get your feet tapping in seconds and before you know it, you will be grooving in your seat and itching to make your way to the dance floor. Can totally imagine this song blasting on repeat at that summer wedding pool party!
Ghungroo – War
Just imagine your Sangeet starting with this song – a great way to amp up the energy in the room! The hook step is quite easy to master so all the groomsmen and bridesmaids can get up on stage and keep everyone entertained while dancing away to this song!
The Naari Naari Song
I’ll admit, the lyrics are…alright but those beats are something! For those who didn’t know (like myself), this is a Hindi remake of an Arabic song with the same name. But for obvious reasons, I can totally see the Hindi version being a big hit at Sangeets this wedding season!
Dheeme Dheeme – Pati Patni aur Woh
Unlike the name of the song, the tune is anything but dheeme dheeme! From the Sangeet ceremony to the Reception, this song can be played at any wedding ceremony and I assure you, you will go from swaying in your seat to performing an entire dance routine at the dance floor!
