5 Tips to Make your Wedding Planning Process more Manageable

5 Tips to Make your Wedding Planning Process more Manageable

Wedding planning can be quite a daunting task and the very thought of it can be overwhelming. It takes several months of planning and hardwork for a wedding to finally become a success and a key to managaing your planning is being organised.

If you don’t want your stress levels soaring with each day passing, it is best to keep your priorities in order and take one day at a time! You cannot juggle ten things together, so my advice would be to to strike off one task after the other in order of importance and move slowly towards the ultimate goal, which of course is your D-day!

If you are having some difficulties with how you should start planning your wedding and be on top of things, I believe these tips will be quite handy:

1. A timeline is essential

It is imperative that your timeline should be exhaustive and inclusive of everything that you need Mto do from Day 1 of your planning.

Get your dates in order, write down a list of your appointments, and maintain a record of everything! I repeat, EVERYTHING!

2. One thing at a time

If you are under the impression that you can juggle everything from vendor appointments to food tastings and from lehenga trials to shopping, all at once, you are wrong. You need to take baby steps- completing one task before moving onto the next one. You don’t want to be executing half-baked tasks and making a mess of things.

3. You need to prioritise

In case you are required to take a leave from work and show up at something important, like a meeting with the caterer, you need to prioritise wisely.

You cannot be working overtime and paying all your attention to work rather than your wedding planning.

4. Delegate

Don’t be afraid to delegate tasks. Yes, you don’t need to do everything yourself.

You can trust family, friends and your partner for carrying out certain tasks that they are comfortable with.

5. Update your checklist

It is best if you keep revisiting your checklist at least on a weekly basis, especially if you are someone who tends to procrastinate.

Don’t leave that checklist unchecked, or else you will find yourself lost and clueless.

Don’t panic ladies, just follow my shaadi gyaan and stay sukhi!
