A wedding is one of the most important days in a person’s life. And it is no secret that the bride and grooms might go overboard to get the best on their big day.
However, there’s a fine line between reasonable crazy to full-blown insane! And often the couple fails to see that. Today, we decided to gather some interesting, one-of-a-kind, and crazy client requested revealed by wedding planners.
1. A mirror mosaic mandap in an infinity pool!
One couple requested Kainaz Sethna, the director of Seven Steps Weddings to set up their wedding mandap in the middle of an infinity pool, which was steeply inclined in depth. Since the infinity pool was by the bay, this setting would give the feel of the water and light spreading everywhere.
2. Built a flower wall!
Birch Event Design from New York reveal that they were once requested by the bride and groom to create a floral wall on the day of their wedding. The planners had just six hours in hand to execute this and were finally successful with two hours to spare.
3. Khana, authenticity anusaar
A couple once requested a crew of 100+ chefs to be flown down to the wedding destination from all around the world for a nuptial. They wanted to curate an elaborate menu featuring a variety of authentic cuisines. Alisha Shirodkar from Tamarind Events ensured to deliver what the couple wanted.
4. A majestic wedding gift
Manika Garg from E-Factor once had a bride who wanted to give her husband a baby elephant as a wedding gift! Taking the animal rights into account, they arranged for a baby elephant and his mother to be brought to the wedding venue. They were taken care of well and were of course returned to the facility at the end of the day.
5. BelgiYUM!
Taramind Events worked on a wedding where the couple requested the planners to call in a chef from Belgium to set up an authentic waffle counter. Why so much trouble you ask? Because both the bride and the groom had a major sweet tooth.
6. Bridezilla goes crazy
An anonymous wedding planner revealed that one crazy bride requested to be married in a well known historical venue that was over 200 years old. A week before the wedding, the bride thought it would be great to repaint the whole venue in her bridal colours – a pink exterior and a green interior. Yes, the planner said ‘no’ without even asking the owners if they would like to do it.
