8 Brides Who Wore Stunning Jewelry with Their Red Lehenga

8 Brides Who Wore Stunning Jewelry with Their Red Lehenga

Red lehengas have been a quintessential colour choice for any bridal outfit, since red is considered as a colour symbolizing auspiciousness, purity, and being a married woman or ‘suhaagan.’  Although new-age brides are seen to be torn between a traditional red lehenga and an offbeat hue, red lehengas still remain the number one choice for many brides!

The next step after selecting your lehenga is selecting and coordinating your jewellery pieces with your lehenga. This includes choosing the size of the jewellery (oversized or minimalistic),  the type (traditional or modern) and most importantly, the color combinations which are likely to complement the lehenga beautifully.

Here’s me listing brides who aced at pairing beautiful red lehengas with exquisite pieces of jewellery:

1. Chunky gold jewellery

This bride wore a chunky gold choker, an oversized maang tikka and jhumkas. With these, she paired a panchlada necklace made out of pearls and tiny gold pieces. Her voluminous kaleeras also caught my attention instantly!

2. Kundan and emerald jewellery

For her wedding, Shloka Mehta broke the internet with her larger than life kundan jewellery with oversized emerald drops. Green and red have always gone well together, and this bride proved it once again! Not to miss her stunning haath phools and minimalistic maang tikka and nath.

3. Edgy pearl jewellery

For starters, I love the chaandbali inspired maang tikka– contemporary and subtle! The bride has worn an elegant choker studded with white stones and pearls. Ditching a conventional haar, she has gone in for a panchlada pearl necklace instead.

4. Multicoloured meenakari jewellery

I was left spellbound when my eyes first caught a glimpse of this unique meenakari jewellery set. The necklace has a layer of pearls and ruby drops, accentuating the look even further. Not to miss the offbeat mathapatti design!

5. Sea green and white jewellery

The bride’s lehenga has an array of  hues in it- apple red, brick red and fire truck red. She has chosen a completely contrasting saathlada necklace with polki or uncut diamonds and sea green emerald drops at the end. The other pieces of jewellery like the maang tikka, earrings and choker are a part of the same jewellery set.

6. Different hues of green

Every piece of jewellery the bride wore has a certain uniqueness to it. The choker has two large emeralds surrounded by uncut diamonds, with off0white pearls on one end and mint green emerald drops on the other. The necklace has emerald beads and gold squares, followed by blingy diamonds.

7. Green and white jewellery

Yet another bride who went in for the white and green combination- uncut diamonds of different sizes, paired with green emerald drops!

From her maangtikka to her rani haar, this bride wore some stunning gold jewellery with, accentuated with off-white pearls.
