Pranav & Aditi Lonavala : Understated, chic and super fun – this wedding is goals for couples who want to keep it minimalistic
Ditching the over-the-top decor and the ‘Big Fat Indian wedding’ vibe, this adorable couple impressed us with their minimalistic style and elegant decor.
Aditi and Pranav proved that ‘less is more’ actually works!
About the couple
In a rather conventional arranged marriage setting, Aditi and Pranav met through a matchmaker, in a quest to find their soulmates.
Little did they know that they would click so instantly! Not only did their interests match, their personalities were also alike. Aditi and Pranav knew that they had a connection and decided to give it a shot. Gradually they started understanding each other better and got to know how similar their overall outlook toward life was.
Only a few meetings later, they had come to the conclusion that they had found their ideal partners. The couple spoke to their respective families and decided to get hitched!!
About the photographer..
“Siddhi was a blessing in disguise. She delivered great results. We loved the wedding pictures. Every picture from each function is so beautiful. She has managed to capture all the emotions and moments really well. The colours really came into being, all thanks to her! In a nutshell, working with her was a breeze and I highly recommend her.”
The Wedding events..
For starters, we were not very gung-ho about hiring a wedding planner for the wedding, reason being we felt it was better to keep control over things without one.
Another reason for this was that we wanted all our guests to feel more warm and welcomed, being attended to personally by the family members, rather than planners. However, it doubled-up the work for all of us! Taking breaks from our jobs to spare time for wedding meetings and planning almost everyday on hundreds of excel sheets, was no less than an ordeal.
Mehendi and Engagement
The Mehendi was all about colours and flowers. The floral decor stole the show and won us over. The cute cartoon signages of the bride and the groom and the larger than life hashtag sign was extremely eye catchy and fun!
The ring ceremony witnessed some cute and lovable moments of the bride and groom, followed by dhamakedaar dances. It was a night full of entertainment, with everyone letting their hair loose and grooving to catchy numbers!
Haldi and pool party
These were rather intimate and private affairs, where having a fun time with close friends and family was the sole aim. For the pool party, the couple adorned some refreshing and chic outfits in shades of blue. We simply loved them. The peppy drapes really stood out as part of the decor! The party was all about crazy moments and guests having a gala time, jumping into the pool with absolute abandon!!
Wedding
As much as we love big fat Indian weddings, with larger than life ceremonies, we are also fans of those shaadis which impress us with their simplicity. This was one such wedding!
