Andevi Weddings- Where Traditional Decor Meets Modern Ideas!

Andevi Weddings- Where Traditional Decor Meets Modern Ideas!

Gone are the days when wedding decor comprised of floral arrangements, oversized stages, drapes and lights. We are in 2019 and the face of wedding decor in India has seen rapid transformations and for all the right reasons! Today, the magic is in the details. Whether it is pineapples used as centerpieces, humongous flamingos and elephants at the entrance or temple bells as ceiling hangings – the decor is getting edgier and unique by the minute.

As I write this blog, hundreds of decor images are whizzing past my brain, but a few images which seems to stick around are those of the recent Udaipur wedding. Some wedding decor elements  just leave you dumbfounded, baffled and frozen for a couple of seconds. The temple wedding-inspired decor by Andevi Weddings at the Jagmandir Island Palace is one of them.

Well, honestly, I am not too surprised! Decor ideas by Andevi Weddings have always awe-inspired me. This premium design company based in Delhi, is sure to make your wedding experience the best time of your life. Not sticking to any particular style, their versatility and the attention to tiny details make this company stand apart from the rest. Ananya, the founder strongly believes in the idea of ‘Less is more’ and strives to turn every corner at the wedding into nothing short of a living piece of art!

Here’s a glimpse into when Andevi Weddings left us stunned with their inspirational decor ideas. If you are planning to tie the knot anytime soon, these are the ones you should definitely bookmark:

1. The Jagmandir Palace wedding

 Temple Wedding-Inspired Decor

A conventional and contemporary articulation of the age old traditional Indian wedding style is a complete stunner! The entrance to the wedding symbolizes a temple scene. Large bells with engraved mantras, red fabrics and beautiful diyas; together make-up an excellent decor idea.

Bedecked with jasmines and roses, the dome covered with brass bells and floral archways on all four sides- this traditional mandap with interesting elements, is a complete head turner!

Humongous elephants made out of thousands of flowers- colourful, larger-than-life and super-attractive elements for the wedding venue’s entrance!

Andevi Weddings created a Marigold Forest and I am completely floored by this idea! The purple and mango upholstery with traditional motifs and the casual seating, make this a sought after Mehendi ceremony decor idea.

Setika Singh, the bride who got hitched at the Jagmandir Palace has a lot to say about Andevi Weddings-

“Andevi was responsible for the design and decor of my Mehendi, Sangeet and Wedding functions. The functions were held in different parts of the City Palace in Udaipur, with over 400 guests.

It was a wonderful experience working with Ananya! She has the aesthetic and creativity to look at the event locations as a space that is a celebration of innovative designs and coming together of art installations.

Each event had distinct characteristics and elevated mood- the Mehendi felt like a beautiful garden of Marigolds, the Sangeet like a celebration of lights and the wedding like being an ancient temple embellished with stunning bells and flowers.

Personally, a lot of effort was put into the small details and I felt at complete ease with the way Ananya managed each step of the design and decor. She understood our vision of the events and executed it passionately and professionally, making all the events magical!”

Well, that’s not it! Here are some more instances wherein I was totally swooning over Andevi’s creations:

2. Bohemian Teepee

Planning to have a funky, colourful and Bohemian-inspired mehendi ceremony? If yes, how about trying something like this! I am in love with this fuschia pink teepee. Not only is the seating super-exciting, the decor elements like traditional clay urulis with flower petals, an old trunk and vases made out of bottles steal the show!

3. Flower Power

A perfect setting for a summery mehendi function. It is minimalistic and chic with marigolds used as tree hangings and table centerpieces, complemented by light yellow and white upholstery.

4. Rustic mandap design

A rather rustic and minimalistic mandap idea with sheer drapes, flowers and foliage. This is a contemporary, aesthetically-appealing and hassle-free decor idea, a must-see for new-age couples.

5. Dreamy and Delightful

A labyrinth of flowers, which makes this decor look like a DREAM! A perfect setting for an evening function.

From napkins to chandeliers, we’ve got you covered.”- Ananya (founder)

I am sure I have give y’all a plethora of decor ideas to get inspired from!
