Manmeet & Aneeta Delhi : An app love-story turns into an apt wedding story!
‘Life is always full of surprises. You never know who you are going to meet that will change your life forever.’ – Anonymous
Aneeta and Manmeet’s love story is a beautiful personification of this quote. Who thought these two old souls would find each other on a dating app and end up as a married couple! Not even them!
The Story
In a classic millennial love story, the ‘app’ plays the most important role as the cupid! Aneeta and Manmeet’s run-up to the aisle started at well, the ‘Aisle’ itself! In between chats and chuckles, love brewed, uniting them in blissful matrimony!
Over just a few days of chatting with each other, Aneeta and Manmeet knew there was something special to their bond. The milestone in their journey was a lunch date at the gorgeous Timber Trail Resort, which confirmed this. From chatting online to chatting in person for nearly four and a half hours, they were completely smitten by each other and decided to spend their forever together.
The Proposal
There was no run-of-the-mill proposal as such in their case. Rather the ‘proposal’ unfolded in the most unusual way in the most unconventional place. Post their cherished lunch date both were at a crossing and the signal light turned red (but green for Manmeet) and he asked Aneeta what she felt about them. Aneeta, in turn, retorted back with the same question to Manmeet and instead of the three words, Manmeet said, “I’m game,” to which Aneeta nodded a yes as “Me too!” and they say, the rest is history!
The Wedding Ceremony
Seeking the blessings of their respective families and elders, Aneeta and Manmeet embarked on their nuptial voyage. To help them sail smoothly through all the myriad marriage preps, Aneeta’s brother and sister-in-law along with Manmeet’s sister played instrumental roles. Along with the couple, the families bonded over preparations and dutifully laid out the stage.
Come marriage day, Aneeta looked like a dream in her traditional wedding attire. She donned a stunning red Patiala suit from Suhag Arts. Her look was complemented by traditional Polki jewellery with the intricate kaleera being the highlight. Reet Kang, a bridal artist, did Aneeta’s make-up for all the functions including the wedding day. For the reception, the new bride wore a gorgeous sharara from the Karol Bagh store- ‘Anarkali.’ As for the groom, he opted for a brocade sherwani for the marriage and a smart bandhgala for the reception, both from Rastogis.
About the Photographer
The photographers for the events were Aditya Mohan and Rashi from Snapsoul.
To hear it in their own words, “The pre-wedding shoot was the first interaction we had with Snapsoul as a couple and they made us so comfortable that the entire shoot seemed effortless. They would joke around with us so we wouldn’t get conscious. Even at the wedding, we had a lot of candid photography. Our wedding functions were beautifully captured by Snapsoul, and we can’t think of anyone else who could have done the same as well as they did.”
