#HealthcareAlert Dos and Don’ts for Covid-19

Coronavirus has changed the way we look at our daily lives. This pandemic has taken over the world with 1.83 lakhs affected, many many dead and then, many have even recovered. However, in these uncertain times, it is best to stay cautious.

Obviously, the world wide web is filled with information regarding the virus, how it affects people, no. of people dying and much more. It is also filled with rumours, them being the primary cause of panic. So, while we are all working from our homes, staying safe and not mingling, here are some essential dos and don’ts to stay safe and healthy.

Dos:

Practice Social Distancing

Yes, this is the need of the hour. Best not to meet people, relatives or friends even.
P.S. This is every introvert’s fantasy come true!

Wash your Hands

An important WHO directive, we need to wash our hands very often. This is because in our current lives we happen to touch many many objects. And as a precaution to keep germs away, washing hands with a sanitizer or soap is important.

Wear a Mask

Another important thing is to wear a mask when stepping out or when meeting people. However, an important thing to note is that a mask should be worn by people who have flu symptoms or who are unwell. People who are well, need not wear a mask.

Maintain Hygiene

It is important to bathe daily even though one is at home. Eat healthy food and sleep well.

Don’ts:

Don’t Touch your Face or Nose Often

Do not Hoard Masks and Sanitizers

Be conscious of other people’s needs as well. You cannot be safe if other people aren’t!

Avoid Unnecessary Travel

This is very important. If not required, do not travel at all.

Do not go to Crowded Areas

Malls, theatres, offices, etc. are closed due to a reason. Public transport has slowed down. All this is done to avoid/ curb the spread of the virus. So be mindful of these and stay put.

Do not Believe in Rumours

Perhaps, the most important point is to not believe or participate in rumour-mongering.

Do not self-medicate
