Manish Malhotra’s New Evening Wear Line Is Edgy And Elegant At The Same Time – Lakme Fashion Week W/F 2017

The biggest fashion week in India closed on Sunday with none other than Bollywood’s favourite – Manish Malhotra. As usual, Lakme Fashion Week W/F 2017, day 5 had the country’s best designers showcasing the latest fashion trends through the day, while saving the best for last.

Malhotra’s stunning new collection concluded with stars Jacqueline Fernandez and Aditya Roy Kapoor looking ravishing in his evening wear that was both edgy and elegant at the same time. Jacqueline sashayed down the ramp in a bold black number with colourful floral embroidery. The long, flowy sleeves and silhouette added class while the see-through net over micro-shorts added the edge.

Aditya Roy Kapoor complimented her in a black suit highlighted by the velvet, single-button jacket with embroidered lapels.

The theme of the collection was ‘Tales of Indulgence’ and consisted of evening, festive and cocktail womenswear and menswear, featuring long coats and capes, fringed sleeves and hems, embroidered lapels, corsets, feathered skirts, thigh-high slits, contemporary lehengas, amongst many more.

The collection used fabrics like rich velvet, wool and silk along with net with the colour palette being primarily black, with chrome, silver, white and maroon.

All in all, it was a dazzling line full of the sparkling glamour that Manish Malhotra is known for.
