Farhane & Sarah Dubai : This emperor and empress tied the knot in a solemn ceremony in Dubai
Sarah & Farhane
This wedding emanated grace and solemnity with a touch of colour, fun and frolic. The marriage brought together all forces of bonding, love and family together in the most minimalist and elite frame at the same time. Sarah and Farhane were indeed a match made in heaven!
The Story
Sarah and Farhane met at Farhane’s brother’s proposal meeting with Sarah’s sister! The duo hit it off as did the other pair and officially started dating on a serious note in 2017. They dated for one and a half year and met 4-5 times during that period and claim the distance strengthened their bond. Farhane was clear about getting married to Sarah at the beginning of their relationship, and the couple made it official a year and a half later. Farhane proposed with a sweet and simple surprise. The ceremony took place on 27th July 2018 at Ajman Saray and Ajman Palace Hotel in UAE.
The Proposal
“He kinda proposed the first day he started to pursue me. Because he said if we do this, it would be long term and would have to end in us getting married. He didn’t want to be with me for fun as our families were so involved already as my sister married his brother. His proposal was extremely sweet. He tried to keep it a surprise but didn’t succeed, but it was adorable nonetheless” – Sarah.
And the proposal was something went something like –
“So he made a video of all our moments together and had it playing on a projector as I walked in. And then he got down on one knee after the video ended and asked me to marry him!
He had booked out a beautiful suite at a hotel we always talked about going to – The Nikki beach Hotel.” – Sarah.
The Pre-wedding
Sarah and Farhane’s exquisite chemistry and fondness were captured beautifully at a pre-wedding shoot on the rocks by the beach. The shoot captured the couple’s journey towards uniting together as one entity. Every shot had a story of its own to narrate.
Sangeet
Sarah danced the night away in her pink lehenga with gold details alongside her closest female friends, and their performance was followed by a few romantic gestures from the groom’s side. He showed up with swag in a pastel pink Nehru jacket. The couple had an adorable classy time at their sangeet.
The Wedding
Sarah took over the wedding planning because she was based in the UAE and was well-versed with the planning because of her sister’s wedding but missed her husband’s input because of the distance. The bride looked like a Mughal heiress as she stood out in her red lehenga with intricate details coupled with a green beaded necklace. An interesting thing to note is that this beautiful bride did her makeup and aced it! Yes, she wove magic with her brush 🙂
She took an oath with a chalice just like queens did back in the olden days before she set out to surrender herself to her king. The king, aka groom, looked classic in his black suit with golden buttons that gave out a modern yet royal vibe. They tied the knot at a plush location with intimate family members, making it one of the most auspicious nights for the entire clan!
About the Photographer
Shutterdown – Our photographers were incredible. I mean I don’t think I could say anything more to thank them enough. They were super hands-on and interactive. They took the liberty to communicate with my friends and family and make things happen instead of leaving it all to me to guide them. They were so friendly and fun to have around they almost felt like family. I’m so glad I hired them! I couldn’t recommend them enough!
