Raj & Stine Jaipur : A whimsical, elegant and fun destination wedding for this couple!
“There is only one happiness in this life: to love and be loved.” – George Sand
How They Met
Raj & Stine, met three years ago when Raj’s brother played the cupid. Their first phone call lasted for over four hours and they decided to meet soon after. From there, there was no turning back for the lovebirds.
The Wedding
The wedding celebrations began with a Welcome Party cum Cocktail Night, organised at Nazara, a roof-top Indian restaurant offering a gorgeous view of the entire city. There were Rajasthani folk singers and dancers to keep the party entertained and provide a taste of India to the foreign wedding guests.
The next day, the couple were smothered in Haldi by their closest friends and family. This was followed by an Anand Karaj at a space in Alila Fort which is completely surrounded by water and proves to be a gorgeous setting for the wedding ceremony. The bride went with a red and gold lehenga for the wedding ceremony and arrived at the scene riding a palki led by dhol walas. Stine was confident about her makeup skills and hence, opted to do her own makeup for all the events. Her friends helped in assembling her hair into different styles. On the other hand, Raj opted for a black and gold sherwani with cream churidar and accessorised the look with a red stole.
The Reception was a proper sit-down black-tie wedding function with its understated elegance and refined styling and the fort as its backdrop in the main lawns. Raj wore a navy blue suit while Stine wore a flower white dress for the occasion. For the decor, white and fairy lights were hung in a manner that depicted the seating area. This space was accented by softer tones of green. Personalised seating chart, menus and name tags were inspired by the sense of the same colour palette.
