I had my wedding henna done by jyothika.

She had creative skill and can produce unique designs.
She is able to reproduce a design you like already.
Her henna stains dark and last long. Got it done Thurs afternoon and it was dark red Friday evening and very dark red/ almost black Saturday morning.
She is on time and brings everything she needs. You have to provide paper napkins.
She gave tips to make the henna last longer.

She took time (4 hrs) to do: 1) front of hands up to the elbow, 2) back of hands up to elbow, 3) feet up to ankle (30 min per foot) 3) my mom's front of hands (15 min each) This adds up to 4 hours (including some time for discussing which design we want)

Overall, good artistry.

For a bride, it is very important that each and everything is perfect on the most important day in her life i.e. her wedding. Henna of course forms an integral part of that for an Indian bride. So after a lot of research, i selected Shubh mehndi artist for my mehndi function. Right from the beginning, the team was extremely helpful and responsive. We discussed the designs and they suggested some beautiful ideas considering my liking in mind. On the day of the function as well, they were on time and quite accomodating. They took utmost care that i was comfortable during the whole function. The final design was beautiful. I was mesmerized by the way they were applying henna, so beautiful and intricate. Thanks for a beautiful experience.

Cant rave about how sweet and artistic Jyothika is. Her work is delicate and detailed. She takes so much time understanding on what the client wants and puts in her best effort in doing so. You definitely have to get her to do your mehndi! Best of all, she uses natural ingredients in her mehndi cones.

What sets The Hennaist apart from other artists is her very unique style. If you look at lots of henna artists, they all follow a similar design aesthetic. You'll find that almost every artist uses similar design elements and layout. But not Jyothika. Her art really does march to its own drumbeat. And that beat is whimsical. That's the best way I can describe it. There is something very light, delicate and airy about her work that I absolutely love. This is what sets her apart from other artists. She is very prompt, amicable and easy to work with. I would love to get more henna from her in the future if the opportunity presents itself..

She is a amazingly good henna artist,thorough professional with her work.

She is accommodative,friendly and above all very good with her designs. Supports suggestions and adjusts as per need with a flow of communication. Helps us with pre and post care for henna applications as well.

This is a long overdue review for Shubh Muhurat Mehndi.

She did my mehendi for my wedding as well as for family and friends at a party the night before our wedding. She was extremely professional and really knows her stuff. She was able to piece together what I wanted in a design on my hands and feet and it was just beautiful. She was perfect for me, as bride-to-be, Because she was calm and sweet. I also really enjoyed her sense of humor!

Our guests for the party on the night before our wedding loved her designs that she did for them, including a good friend who had sworn that she never do mehendi! Jyothi was great with all the children at the event as well and they loved having their own unique designs.

It was an absolute pleasure to work with Jyothi. When I visited her for the trial, she was very sweet and spent her time understanding from me as to what kind of look I was envisioning. I have heard from my friends that bridal mehndi artists tend to force their opinions upon you etc. but she was not like that at all. She maintains a fine balance between giving her suggestions and taking in your inputs too. Also, she did trials for me even though it was not requested incorporating suggestions from trial 1. Finally, when the D day arrived, I was pleasantly surprised that she had come to the venue not on time but before the scheduled time!! Punctuality in such occasions is of paramount importance. Jyothi and team arrived and set up well on time and the end result was that I THE BRIDE (who is stereotyped to take the longest to get ready in our Indian weddings) was ready well before time at 4.45 PM for a reception starting at 6.30 PM! In fact, I was the first one on the venue to get ready. Along with speed, she did compromise on the quality and gave me a simple classy mehndi look just the way I wanted. She uses the best brands and knows her hand well. Throughout the process, she was professional yet sweet and made me very comfortable. I highly recommend her to everyone...

My old heena artist moved out of town and I was so upset until I found Jyoti!! Scheduling an appointment was super easy and she was so accommodating. I simply sent her a message and got a prompt response. When my friends and I got to her spa she was kind and patient as we were gabbing the whole time. She did such a great job and her prices are super reasonable. I will absolutely be back to see her and I already have multiple friends asking me for her contact info because they think she did such a great job on my henna! Thanks so much!
