Karan & Divya Delhi : This bride styled her own wedding outfits and we can’t get over her selections!

Karan & Divya Delhi : This bride styled her own wedding outfits and we can’t get over her selections!

Divya and Karan took their vows in a gorgeous ceremony at Taj Diplomatic Enclave, Delhi. We see way too many outfits and wedding pictures so when someone wears an outfit that sticks in our minds, then you know you managed to check the box of being striking and impactful. Divya Arora got engaged to her beau Karan over the weekend. Being an ex-stylist herself, Divya came up with 3 tips to style her wedding trousseau perfectly:

Tip 1

Never say Never: Divya believes that brides should always keep an open mind when it comes to picking out color, fabric, style and cut. “You never know what might end up suiting you! Always try on what you love and then make a decision as to whether it looks good or not!” says the bride

Tip 2

Trial your pieces before the wedding: If you’re trying out risky designs or something that’s new for you, always try it at the pre wedding functions such as engagement or haldi. That’s where you can figure out if your choice of styling for the main wedding is good or not!

Tip 3

Dark at night, pastel at day: Divya firmly believes that a bride needs to stand out amongst the crowd. “If you wear a pastel lehenga for your wedding at night, you will blend in. Thus, for night weddings, always choose a rich color. Alternately, for day weddings, a pastel lehenga would be the best choice!” she says

The Couple

Divya and Karan met through family friends at a party. When they connected, they decided to meet over coffee the next day. “We plannned for it to be a quick coffee. We didn’t make dinner plans because we didn’t know what the date would be like. What we didn’t plan for was the fact that we wouldn’t move for another 8 hours!” gushes the bride.

The Wedding

“The entire wedding was divided into themes. For my engagement, i had Japanese Cherry Blossoms because that was a sight Karan and I witnessed together and we absolutely fell in love. For my Mehendi we chose Enchanted Forests while for my sangeet we chose a royal theme. I matched all my outfits accordingly” explains the bride.
