Gursagar & Harpreet Mumbai : A Dance-filled Punjabi Wedding with Lots of Happiness

Gursagar & Harpreet Mumbai : A Dance-filled Punjabi Wedding with Lots of Happiness

It’s safe to say that Punjabi weddings are ones in which the dancing never stops, the food is finger-licking good and the love, always overflowing. One such wedding was the union of Harpreet and Gursagar – lots of naach-gaana, warm hugs and oodles of happiness!

Harpreet was very particular about every little detail of the wedding. From the make-up to the backdrop decoration to the lehenga, right down to the final album, she was absolutely clear in what she wanted! She got her makeup done at Lakme Salon, Mumbai, for her engagement ceremony. She kept her makeup minimal and basic to complement the orange anarkali lehenga she wore. The intricate embroidery details and gold sequins embellishments had us completely mesmerised! She accessorised her look with an antique gold necklace delicately studded with diamonds. This beautiful bride, all dressed up and ready reached the engagement venue only to find out that her soon-to-be fiancé, Gursagar was stuck in heavy traffic! The team at Scarlet Weddings made optimum use of this waiting time, where they shot photos of this couple's crazy fun-filled friends and family. Gursagar soon arrived and joined the fun. Since the ceremony was already delayed by a few minutes, the photographer decided to delay it a bit more and do a quick shoot for this beautiful couple.

The couple then entered the venue and were greeted with the loud beats of the dhol and “vari varsi khatan gaya si songs”. As they say “Punjabiyon ko nachne ka bahana chahiye” (Punjabis just need a reason to dance) – This Engagement was no exception to that. The whole ceremony was filled with dance and food and then some more dance and then some more food in an infinite loop.

Celebrations continued as the most special day of Harpreet and Gursagar’s approached – their wedding day! The serene, holy space of the Gurudwara held the marriage ceremony. Harpreet made a stunning bride in her traditional red lehenga-choli, that was gorgeously embellished with beads and crystals. Her handsome groom looked absolutely dapper in his off-white sherwani paired with a crushed red dupatta and matching safa. Gursagar truly looked like a quintessential Sikh groom!

From getting the handsome groom, getting down on one knee, to every dance-filled picture shot – this energetic Punjabi wedding was perfectly captured by the talented team at Scarlet Wedding.
