Patrick & Prerna Mumbai : A Travel Themed East Indian Wedding Ceremony
Following the rhyme of- Something Old, Something New, Something Borrowed, Something Blue and a Silver Sixpence in her shoe. Prerna’s ancestral jewellery represented continuity and borrowed happiness, her customized wedding gown offered optimism for the future, the blue shoe portrayed love and fidelity, and she wished for a good fortune with a silver sixpence in her shoe.
Patrick and Prerna have known each other for 8 long years before getting married and have travelled extensively together throughout the world They had a sublime Catholic marriage at St. John’s The Baptist Church located in Mumbai’s Thane. Prerna walked down the aisle with a five feet long trail that hugged the Church’s floor. Fascinated by Cinderella, she infused the Princess element in her gown and added a touch of her own personality through a blue waist belt. Like a true gentleman wearing a black and white tuxedo with a funky corsage, Patrick lived the moment that he always imagined.
You can see cute paper planes hanging everywhere, signages indicating directions and a three-tier suitcase shaped chocolate wedding cake as per the travel theme that symbolizes the couple’s journey. Their First Dance had them waltzing into each other’s arms on the tunes of ‘I’m Yours’, by Jason Mraz which also happened to be the most memorable part of the wedding.
Let’s get aboard this flight and time travel in the past through their wedding pictures…
