Ritam & Patrick Frankfurt
Ritam and Patrick, our two very stylish love birds just got hitched in their hometown of Frankfurt, Germany! From amazingly coordinated outfits to some beautiful landscape portraits, this wedding has given us tons of couple goals and some really amazing decor ideas!
Patrik and Ritambhara, Ritam, as she is fondly called by everyone around, met at the tender age of 14 and 15 years old. What started as casual dating and just a fun thing to do developed to a serious commitment. Throughout the years they grew together. Not only did the grow as a team and lovers, they also grew as individuals. Both pursued different carriers. While Ritam joined their family business and handles two restaurants together with an amazing team, Patrik became a consultant - traveling back and forth or, if lucky, staying in Frankfurt.
They dated for ten years before telling their parents they want to get married!
A close friend of the couple says,
"Patrik prepared a wonderful proposal at Ritam’s all-time favorite castle - Schloss Heidelberg. With the permission of her parents, he took her out pretending they were going to a work event further away from home. Half way through, Patrik insisted on having coffee at her favorite castle café as he had never been there. After hesitating for a short time, she was wearing an evening gown and it was just around 1.00 pm, she finally agreed. He promised to click a few nice pictures of her around the castle as she was wearing a pretty dress and had dolled up for the event anyway. He slowly lurked her to the final spot, where he went down on one knee and asked her, if she‘d want to be his wife and better half forever. We all know what happened next - she said yes and a wedding date was fixed for a year later."
Ritam and Patrik got lawfully married in a calm and beautiful civil ceremony at another gorgeous castle - Schloss Philipsruhe in Hanau.
The cocktail and dance party was held at one of Frankfurt’s most amazing venues - Blaues Wasser in Frankfurt. The Blaues Wasser is located right by the Main river and gave the party the ultimate wow-factor. It was mandatory for all the guests to come as colorful as they could. Indian clothes and jewelry was provided to all the guests which was a chance to dive into the colorful world of us Indians for the european friends of the couple.
Finally, on Saturday, Ritam and Patrik got married in Indian tradition. To fulfill her duties towards the new family, Ritam had her Chooda ceremony with all her maternal uncles around.
For the wedding Ritam’s parents chose a venue close to their home in Frankfurt.
The Mandap was set up outdoors as the couple got extremely lucky with the weather, not only on the wedding day, but on all days.
The Pheras were held right after exchanging the Varmaalas. Two and a half hours later the couple was traditionally married and the families had even more reason to celebrate now.
The reception ceremony was opened with Ritam and Patrik dreamy Walz-Dance, that they admitted not having practiced a lot due to the lack of time. A beautiful nude cake was cut and the dance floor and buffet were opened. The families and friends of the two danced away the night till the time of the bride’s Vidaayi. Being the goofball and also melting point of her family, obviously more than a million years were shed. Tears of separation, but also tears of rejoice that the little princess of family got married to the man of her dreams.
