Mithun & Sapna Udaipur : Sapna and Mithun’s Udaipur destination wedding saw the best of outfits, decor, themes and much more!

When we first saw a glimpse of Sapna and Mithun’s fairytale wedding, we knew we were eager to see more! The bride slayed in every outfit she wore! The best part about the wedding is that they paid homage to different cities of the countries! Scroll down to read how.

The Love Story

Sapna and Mithun have known each other since the summer of 2014. They attended the same MBA classes at the University of Wollongong in Dubai. Their friends would always tease them by saying that they’ll get married one day. Sapna and Mithun would just laugh it off, but little did they know! The 2014 FIFA brought these two lovebirds closer and closer. On a whim, Sapna changed her university and they no longer shared classes. But their bond and love for each other just strengthened over time. A relationship that culminates into a beautiful marriage strengthens our belief in love!

The Wedding Festivities

Sapna and Mithun have very little in common except their love for travelling and exploring. They decided to host a wedding that is multicultural, just like them. The themes of their wedding were inspired by different cities of India. Sapna always wanted a wedding next to a lake so Hotel Lakend at Udaipur played the perfect venue for them!

The Engagement

They kicked off the wedding celebrations with a mata ki chowki-cum-engagement ceremony. In an ode to Durga Maa, the idol was flown in directly from West Bengal! Sapna looked elegant in a black and red Banarasi ensemble for the evening. Dhruv was spotted in a velvet black sherwani.

The Mehendi Ceremony

The mehendi ceremony was inspired by Udaipur and hence the decor was mela themed. We love Sapna’s look at her mehendi – a very boho pink lehenga by Papa Don’t Preach. She complimented her look with a floral tiara. Dhruv coordinated with her in a baby pink kurta and white Nehru jacket. Pink and white boughvillae adorned the venue and the colour bombs made it brighter!

The Wedding

Soon the wedding day rolled in. The wedding was held at a Gurudwara in a traditional Anand Karaj. Sapna was a vision in a custom ivory Jade by Monica & Karishma lehenga! Her makeup was impeccably done by Pakhi Puhaja. We fell in love with the minimal red roses adorned in her bun! Sapna couldn’t help but claim that Mithun looked every bit of a Punjabi (he is from Kerala) in an ivory kurta and emerald green turban. She danced her way into the venue, just like she had danced her way into his heart!

Rehearsal Dinner & After Party

The rehearsal dinner was a strictly wester formals affair. Sapna wore a calf length white dress by Nadine Dhondy while Mithun wore a navy and cream suit. Sapna’s mother always envisioned seeing her in a white dress at one of the functions and this seemed to be the perfect opportunity. The glitter and glamour of the night paled in comparison to Sapna & Mithun’s happiness!
