Tarun Tahiliani has unveiled his SS’19 Collection and I can’t keep calm!

Tarun Tahiliani has unveiled his SS’19 Collection and I can’t keep calm!

The moment I step out of the house I start cursing the sun and the stupid humidity prevalent in this city of dreams. But then I reach office, curse it a little more and finally sit down to scroll through my news feed, AKA, Instagram. Instagram greets me with my favourite things- food, beauty hacks, unwanted selfies and of course, Indian designers’ new collection! Every season I desperately wait for designers to launch their collections so that I can select outfits for my imaginary wedding while binging on some ice cream.

After being swooned over by Anita Dongre, Shantanu & Nikhil and Sabyasachi, the latest one t0 catch my eye is Tarun Tahiliani. He calls his Spring Summer Collection ‘India By The Nile’, a range heavily inspired by Egypt. For the lack of a better word, it is a cocktail between Indian and Egyptian clothing, drawing fine lines between both.

If subtle pastels and sheer elegance is your thing, Tarun Tahiliani’s SS19 Collection is for you!

1. Ivory ensemble with intricate beadwork is timeless!

Jewellery: Shri Paramani Jewels

2. A printed chanderi kurta with multicoloured thread work is an ideal summer wear.

3. Left: A pretty printed sharara on crinkled net and tulle with a light gossamer drape. It is adorned with hand painted motifs and mukaish work.

Right: One shoulder asymmetrically draped chanderi blouse paired with hand painted lehenga. I loved the right one. It is quite refreshing!

4. A built-up collar bandhgala paired with a dhoti in soft hues, perfect for summer grooms!

5. These blush outfits with  intricate embroideries and embellished with Swarovski crystals spell ‘Glamour!’

Jewellery: Kotawala Jewels

6. Groomswear really needed a change and this waistcoat with metal buttons paired with an angular side drape kurta is what I am looking for!

7. Beautiful wedding couture in peachish hues!

8. Aari embroidered waistcoat paired with an embroidered kurta and churidar. For all grooms who want to play safe!

9. Embellished with pearls and crystals, Tarun Tahiliani’s SS19 Collection is definitely setting the bar high!

Jewellery: Kotawala Jewels

10.  This isn’t a lehenga or a saree, but an anarkali! It has hand-embroidered scallop pearl polka dots which is paired with a coordinating scalloped dupatta. This anarkali is also embellished with pearls and Swarovski crystals!

Delicately handcrafted, Tarun Tahiliani’s new range is an absolute delight!
