Yash & Vishakha Nashik : This wedding saw a fun mehendi, an elegant shaadi and a super-dazzling reception ceremony!

This destination wedding at Nashik saw the couple twinning at most of their functions, donning elegant and classy outfits and wedding ceremonies in traditional-style!

About the couple..

Vishakha was staying in Mumbai and Yash in Michigan, when their respective families asked the two of them to connect with each other via text. Vishakha wasn’t interested in tying the knot and she was pretty much sure she would end up friend-zoning Yash pretty soon. But, everything changed when she caught a glimpse of him on video call one day. She dressed up shabbily, hoping he would reject her, but one look at him and she disconnected the call and ran to the mirror to fix her hair. He immediately texted her saying, “You had seen my pictures already and I know I’m not handsome, but did you disconnect because you saw me on video?” Little did Yash know that Vishakha had fallen head over feels for him!

Over a year, Vishakha and Yash started knowing more about each other through facetime and skype. Finally, they decided to meet each other and Vishakha flew to U.S.A on the 1st of June, while Yash’s birthday was on the 8th. This was the very first time they had met. It was a rather unusual and awkward meeting, it being an arranged marriage. They went roaming around Michigan, New York and Las Vegas.

On his birthday, they were holidaying at Las Vegas and as the clock struck 12, Yash went down on his knees and proposed to her. “This surprise swept me off my feet and this sweet gesture stole my heart. People usually go to Vegas for their bachelor and bachelorette parties or to hook up with random people, but here, we decided on our forever at Vegas!”

The Wedding Festivities..

Vishakha resigned from her job and she was freelancing at the time of the wedding. She dedicated 6 months only to her D-day! As the wedding was in Nashik, she had to take two trips back and forth each month and it was extremely hectic. However, the fact that everything worked out beautifully, made the effort worth it!

“I had a lot of impractical things I wanted to do for my wedding and many things were out of my budget, so I had to make a few compromises here and there. I want to advise all the brides-to-be to not think too much before spending. It’s best to go in for quality!

Mpire events was responsible for the entire wedding planning process. Right from the bollywood-themed sangeet to the phoolon ki holi on the haldi ceremony, they paid attention to the minutest details possible and helped make the wedding a success!

Haldi

The Haldi was an intimate affair, with close friends and family. The couple was seated on a floral jhoola and the wedding planners arranged for a beautiful phoolon ki holi. The couple were seen twinning in white outfits, not to miss the bride’s stunning floral jewellery!

Sangeet

The bride adorned a blue and gold shimmery lehenga with a unique blouse design, while the groom looked absolutely dapper in a blue suit. Fun games and activities were followed by a whole lot of dhamakedaar performances. There was also a larger than life lit-up hashtag, made combining the name of the couple, which is something every couple should consider having.

Wedding

The wedding was a private one, with minimalistic decor and the ceremony took place in traditional-style! The bride donned a shimmery gold and beige lehenga and we are completely swooning over her bridal ensemble, while the groom was seen in an off-white sherwani with beige embellishments.

Reception

Dazzling in silver, the bride’s dress was quite a headturner! The groom was dressed in a classic black tuxedo. The reception ceremony saw a whole lot of romantic clicks and a gorgeous, classy three-tier wedding cake.

About the photographer..

“Even before our wedding was on the cards, I knew that it has to be Mousam and his team who will be doing our wedding. I have been following his work and I am in love with his work since a long time! Although I met the team for the first time at my wedding, to my surprise I was extremely comfortable with everyone and they didn’t seem like outsiders. They were like family, not just vendors who were present to shoot the wedding functions. We received so many enquiries and testimonials from everyone for Mousam! Everyone loved their work and it was a super-duper HIT! So, thumbs up to Mousam and the entire team, I’ve found my family photographer.”

About the makeup artist/hair stylist..

“Considering my field, I was already aware of the best makeup artists, hair stylists and designers. I have previously worked with Vaishnavi Kapadia, who was responsible for my hair and makeup during shoots. So, I knew exactly what I wanted. A typical bridal look was a complete no-no and I was aiming for something classy and sober. She was absolutely brilliant!”
