I have spent a better part of my adulthood obsessing over the Harry Potter books and movies. Yes, adulthood. Millions of Potterheads and I owe it to Joanne Kathleen Rowling for taking us on this wonderful journey. The kind giant, the loyal elf, the forlorn lover, the golden trio and of course, Mrs. Weasley’s Christmas sweaters are special to me to this very day. If you are a Potterhead like me, chances are that you would want a Harry Potter themed wedding. If not an entire wedding, you can always sneak in Potter (without the invisibility cloak!). Scroll down to see the 7 ways in which you can make Harry Potter a part of your wedding-
1. Jewellery

Harry Potter jewellery is quite big, specially HP engagement rings. You can get your jewellery engraved with HP quotes like “always” on your rings if you like.
2. The Venue
It’s okay if you don’t host a wedding in Scotland but what about venues that look like castles? I think Woodville Palace Hotel, Shimla (first image) and St Paul’s Cathedral, Kolkata (second image) are more Harry Potter-y than any other palaces in India.
3. Wedding Invitations

A wedding invite that is as magical as the Potter realm? Yes, please!
4. The Buffet

How about including some famous food items like butterbeer, treacle tart and pumpkin pasties? If not, you can always have HP macaroons and cake!
5. Wedding Decor

Transport your guests to the magical world of Harry Potter by decorating the venue Potter style! Take Lindsay’s wedding for example- her entire wedding was HP themed and she nailed it with decor.
6. Photo Booth Props
Photo booth props are a big hit among guests. Throw in some wands, house ties, Potter glasses and make it better.
7. Wedding Favours
Even if the rest of your wedding is not Harry Potter themed, the favours should definitely be! Chocolate frogs, some bottled Felix Felicis (read: honey), Bertie Botts Every Flavour Beans, the Snitch, Beetle and the Bard, Harry Potter playing cards are some good options.
