If there is one thing that kept us hooked and happy in this lockdown phase, it was to see couples beating all odds to get married in the midst of a global health crisis! Be it the lockdown weddings of celebrity couples or unique stories of people who have gone out of their way to get hitched, we’ve seen it all. And today, another celebrity joins this list.
Enthralling us with her performances in films like Singham, Magadheera, Thuppakki, Special 26 and many more, Kajal Aggarwal gave her fans another surprise this October by announcing her marriage plans with Mumbai-based entrepreneur Gautam Kitchlu. And ever since, we have been eagerly awaiting to watch this cute couple finally walk down the aisle! Joining what now seems like a legit term- ‘the corona/lockdown wedding club’ this couple finally got hitched in a small intimate wedding ceremony at Mumbai’s iconic Taj Mahal Hotel.
The wedding festivities for Kajal and Gautam’s intimate nuptial kickstarted with a beautiful haldi and mehendi ceremony at home. True to the spirit of home weddings, the to-be bride was surrounded with her closest ones to ring in her joy. She kept her looks for both events simple yet elegant. For the haldi, Kajal donned a bright yellow outfit and was adorned in floral jewellery. And her mehendi look was characterized by a stunning green ethnic ensemble and gorgeous jewellery. For her marriage ceremony, she looked straight out of a dream in a bright red intricately embellished lehenga. Gautam Kitchlu complemented his bride in a gorgeous sherwani, styled with a pale pink dupatta.
